Saudi warplanes carried out more than 20 air strikes against civilian targets in Yemen’s Sa’ada, killing and injuring a large number of people in the northwestern province.
The Saudi jets pounded the areas of Kataf and Bagem in Sa’ada on Friday night, a military official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Saba news agency on Saturday. The jets struck Kataf district 11 times, causing huge damage, the source added.
They also waged nine raids on Bagem district, killing and injuring scores of people. In a separate development, the districts of Sanhn and Bani Bahloul in Sana’a province were pummeled by Saudi military aircraft on Friday.
